Ryan's Story

If you were to tell someone one thing about Outpost, it would be...
...that it provides a place for kids to grow up and meet their difficulties and fears. I have always had a great time at Outpost, and in 6 years I have learned a lot about myself. I think that I will go back to Outpost as long as I can. Be it JC, SC, Specialist, or Director, I will be there to take the job and do my best. I think that Outpost is amazing.

My most memorable group was...
...the Goonies, and the most fun thing was when we had the photo scavenger hunt. We were all over the place in our van taking pictures of the weirdest things.

My favorite part of campfire is...
...when the Directors and Counselors come up and do the weirdest things and funny skits. For example, I always bust up when I see the skit with the knight that wants to marry the princess and it goes faster and faster.

My best friend I met at camp was...
... Hayden, because he was funny and had the same interest in computers that I do. He was always there for me and even helped me run my business in the fort one year. Hayden would tell the funniest jokes, too!

At camp I like to...
... hang out with friends in the fort and go swimming in the pool. The pool is the most fun because we would always have diving contests and things like that. We could do lap races and even throw something down to the bottom of the pool and see who could find it first.

The one thing I will never forget about Outpost is...
...when I came for the first time and met my counselor, Candy. Yes, Candy was a counselor once! It was my first amazing experience at Outpost Summer Camps.

My favorite counselor is...
...Marina, because she has been my counselor once and worked at extended camp forever, sadly ending last year, but I always have fun when she is there.

The most awesome thing that happened at Outpost was...
...when it was so hot that we went to the pool for an extra, like, hour or so. It was about 95O outside. You could have fried an egg on the concrete!!

The reason I come back to Outpost every year is...
...I know that there are hundreds of fun things that I can look forward to each summer. I always have the most fun at camp there every year. It is just AMAZINGLY AWESOME there every time. Great counselors, great activities, these people go the whole nine yards!
